EMAIL-BORNE THREATS

Drawing on our deep expertise in responding to email-based attacks, the Unit 42® Business Email Compromise (BEC) Readiness Assessment focuses on the controls, people, processes and technologies necessary to prevent and detect attacks with email-specific safeguards, recover faster with a best practice response playbook, and apply what you’ve learned.
TIER 1
BEC ASSESSMENT
Evaluate your ability to quickly identify and respond to a business email compromise and other email-based threats.
Tier 1 services include:
- Email security configuration assessment
- Threat intel briefing hosted by a Unit 42 threat intelligence analyst
- Tabletop exercise to evaluate real-world effectiveness
- 50 hours of incident response or proactive services
TIER 2
BEC ANALYSIS
Identify evidence of historical or ongoing compromise in your email environment. Unit 42 experts will analyze logs and telemetry to search for unauthorized access, including rule creation and data exfiltration.
Tier 2 includes all services in Tier 1, plus:
- Email compromise assessment
- Email attack readiness benchmark
- BEC incident response playbook
TIER 3
BEC RESILIENCE
Unit 42 performs purple team exercises to fine-tune defenses and cyber-awareness training based on purple team outcomes. Our experts help your organization develop a cyber-aware workforce, informed of today’s advanced threats and their role in preventing cyberattacks.
